The 2008 BIG UGLIES LINEMAN CHALLENGE
was again an exciting day for those "big guys up front.". The team
competition came down to the final event once again. Cohoes won the Tug of
War which also allowed them to capture their first "IRON LINE AWARD" as
the overall team champion with 38.5 points. Schalmont#1 had a great day
finishing in second place with 32 points and Scotia finished strong with
30.5 points to take 3rd place.In the Individual competition the"IRON
LINEMAN" award honor went to Connor Hadcock from Burnt Hills HS with 23
points. He who edged out Devon Van Auken - Guilderland HS and Robert
Stevens from Newburg Free Academy, who were tied for second place with
21.5 points each. Go to
