FMS Football Update 11/2/07

The FMS Football team finished its season with a 46-8 trouncing of Albany at FMS Field.

Scoring touchdowns for the young Dutchmen were Matt Breton, Malcom Nelson.

 Mike Doynow, Tanner Brandt, and Tim Oconnor. Stephen Sieiz, Stephen Jill, Tanner Brandt, Connor Mclaughlin, and Mike Doynow all posted excellent defensive games.
 

The Dutchmen finished their season at 7-0.

On Friday, the FMS Football team defeated Saratoga by a score of 38-6 here at FMS Field.

Matt Breton ran for 120 yards and scored two touchdowns. Malcom Nelson and Tanner Brandt each scored a touchdown of their own and Mike Doynow ran back a 70 yard interception for a touchdown as well.

Coming up big defensively for the Dutchmen were Mike Garcelon with 11 tackles, Tanner Brandt with 9 tackles and Stephen Seitz with 7 tackles. Connor McGlaghlin and Matt Breton had a sack apiece.

It was a tremendous all around effort for the young Dutchmen who upped their record to 6 wins and 0 losses.

On Thursday, October 18th, the FMS Dutchmen played a tough Schenectady team and beat the Patriots by a score of 24-6.
 

Malcom Nelson ran for 110 yards and scored two touchdowns while Mike Doynow added 50 yards on the ground and a touchdown of his own. Quaterbacks Connor Drislane and Tim O'Connor played their best games yet completing passes and scrambling for first downs.
 

In a tough battle up front, Jesse Messick, Mike Garcelon, Brandon Garcelon, Stephen Sietz, Stephen Jill and Tanner Brandt all played excellent defensive games. Noah Poskanzer had a key interception in the 5th quarter to seal the game. Against it's toughest opponent yet, the young Dutch never gave up and never gave in.
 

The team in now 5-0 and will face Saratoga at home on Friday.

On Thursday, the FMS Modified football team continued it's winning ways by beating Ballston Spa 48-6.

Six Dutchmen scored for FMS including Mike Doynow, Danny Rogers, John Savcedo, Matt Breton, Myles Dolliol, and Cameron Dobbs. It was an impressive defensive display from the young Dutch led by Matt Breton, Tanner Brandt, Mike Garcelon, Stephen Jill, Stephen Seitz, Mike Doynow, Connor Mcglaughlin, Lewis Lima, and Noah Pozkanzer. John Savcedo and Tim Oconnor had an interception apiece.

The team is now 4-0 and will play Schenectady at home next Friday.
 
Last Thursday, the FMS Modified football team defeated Shenendahowa by a score of 16-14 at FMS Field.

In a thrilling game, the young Dutchmen got help from Malcom Nelson with two touchdowns and 110 rushing yards. Mike Garcelon also busted out for a huge run of 60 yards in the 3rd quarter. Defensively, the Dutch were led by Stephen Seitz, Stephen Jill, Mike Doynow, Mike Garcelon, and Tanner Brandt.

The team is now 3-0 and travel to Ballston Spa this Thursday.
 

On Tuesday, the FMS Football team routed Shaker by a score of 46-8.  Leading the Dutchmen were Matt Breton who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns.  Mike Doynow and Danny Rogers each rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Malcom Nelson led the team in rushing for 100 yards
as well as scoring a touchdown.  Mike Garcelon broke away in the 5th quarter for a 50 yard TD of his own.  On Defense, the team was led in tackles by Zach Bobersky, Mike Garcelon, Danny Rogers, Tanner Brandt, and Stephen Seitz who all registered 3 solo tackles on the day.  John Savecedo and Connor McGlaughin had an interception apiece.  It was a total team effort as the Dutchmen started off their season with an opening win.  The team would like to thank all of the fans who came out to watch.
